MY EXPERIENCE IN SRCC - MUMBAI with ASDBUDDY

Paridhi Mohta
Intern

There were topics discussed, questions answered, concerns expressed and methods shared at SRCC Children’s Hospital in Mumbai last Wednesday.

Recently, I got the opportunity to accompany our founder to a meeting with Dr. Anaita Hegde, a pediatric neurologist, and her team at the Centre for Child Development.
The journey to the hospital had been a blend of preparation, planning, and hope and I was a bundle of nerves and excitement as we reached the building lined with bright colors. But seeing the professionals listen to us and encourage us calmed and motivated me. They were eager to understand the concept behind our app, ASDBUDDY, and how it positively impacts the lives of parents of children with autism. The journey and the three pillars that form the foundation of our app impressed them.
We also shared our parent testimonials - ASDBUDDY Parent Testimonials

After explaining the relationship model, we deliberated and concluded that establishing the parent-child relationship is a fundamental part of remedying ASD that has often been neglected. We offered various insights on how to encourage parent education and discussed our course “Becoming a Therapist for your child"
To conclude the session, we presented them with a book written by our founder. The discussion served as a source of information and inspiration for me. Delving deeper into the multifaceted challenges of managing ASD has helped me understand how to support and empower individuals with autism. It was truly motivating to witness professionals from different domains coming together to discuss how we can collectively help improve the lives of ASD children. We cannot wait for the collaborations that are to come.

Stay tuned !!
